BBJ’s 2013 “Book of Lists” Notes Beacon Hill in 4 Categories

Beacon Hill was once again noted in the Boston Business Journal’s recently-published “Book of Lists” — a 2013 look at the who’s who in Boston business. Beacon Hill was recognized under four categories: “Area’s Largest Temporary Placement Firms,” “Area’s Largest Executive Search Firms,” “Area’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies” and “Area’s 100 Largest Private Companies.”

In the category of “Area’s Largest Temporary Placement Firms” — which ranked companies by average contractors supplied daily — Beacon Hill appeared as number 9, up from number 10, on the list. As noted in the ranking, on average 433 contractors are supplied daily in the state, 89% of the business is on the contract side and 11% of Beacon Hill’s business is on the perm side. Beacon Hill was also noted in a special “Trends” ranking as the 4th largest Massachusetts employer in this category.

In the category of “Area’s Largest Executive Search Firms” — which ranked firms by Massachusetts executive search revenue — Beacon Hill placed 5th, up from 7th the year before. As noted, 11% of Beacon Hill’s business is made up of executive recruitment. Once again, Beacon Hill was included in a special “Trends” ranking, coming in second for most Massachusetts recruiters in this category.

In the category of “Area’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies” — which ranked companies by revenue growth from 2008-2011— Beacon Hill came in at number 20 with an impressive 135.23% growth. Beacon Hill was also highlighted as a “Powerhouse – Pacesetters Elite” for being a top five company to have more than $50 million in 2011 revenue and 100% in growth. Additionally, it was again included in the special “Trends” ranking as the number 4 largest growth company from 2009 to 2011.

Lastly, in the category of “Area’s 100 Largest Private Companies” — which ranked companies by 2011 revenue — Beacon Hill appeared as number 42 on the list.
