February 1st, 2014

Beacon Hill was once again noted in the Boston Business Journal’s recently-published “Book of Lists” — a 2014 look at the who’s who in Boston business. Beacon Hill was recognized under four categories: “Area’s Largest Temporary Placement Firms,” “Area’s Largest Executive Search Firms,” “Area’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies” and “Area’s 100 Largest Private Companies.”

In the category of “Area’s Largest Temporary Placement Firms” — which ranked companies by average contractors supplied daily — Beacon Hill appeared as #10 on the list. As noted in the ranking, on average 447 temps are supplied daily in the state, 83% of the business is on the contract side and 17% of Beacon Hill’s business is on the perm side. Beacon Hill was also noted in a special “Closer Look” article, ranking #4 on the “Most Bay State Employees” list.

In the category of “Area’s Largest Executive Search Firms” — which ranked firms by Massachusetts executive search revenue — Beacon Hill once again came in at #5. Named to the list for nine years running, Beacon Hill came in at #5 in 2012, #7 in 2011 and #8 in 2010. Noted in the ranking was that fact that 9.6% of Beacon Hill’s total 2012 revenue was derived from executive search. Additionally, Beacon Hill was featured as #2 on the BBJ’s “Most Massachusetts Recruiters” list.

In the category of “Area’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies” — which ranked companies by revenue growth from 2009-2012— Beacon Hill  came in 10th overall, up 10 spots from last year’s ranking of 20th. Additionally, Beacon Hill was named No. 2 Elite Company for its vigorous growth while also operating one of the region’s larger companies with annual revenues exceeding $50 million and a three-year growth rate of over 200 percent.

Lastly, in the category of “Area’s 100 Largest Private Companies” — which ranked companies by 2012 revenue — Beacon Hill appeared as number 38 up from number 42 on the list.
