For the tenth year running, Beacon Hill Staffing Group was named to Boston Business Journal’s Pacesetters – a list of the region’s fastest-growing privately held companies. This year’s list included the 70 Massachusetts companies that recorded the highest three-year growth rate in revenue as of December 31, 2014, with a starting baseline of $1 million.
Beacon Hill, along with 69 other area companies, was honored at the BBJ’s annual Pacesetters event, coming in 34th overall. In addition to being honored at the event, the BBJ also published, “Pacesetters – Beacon Hill Staffing joins 10-timers club.” The article reported on Beacon Hill’s vigorous growth over the past decade in an exclusive interview with company’s CEO, Andrew Wang.
In the featured publication, Wang told the BBJ that the key decisions that have enabled Beacon Hill Staffing Group to consistently rank among the region’s fastest-growing private companies were made even before the firm earned its first dollar. “From the very beginning, we had a vision of what a world-class staffing organization would look like and we built a framework to accommodate that,” said Wang. “That meant creating an organizational structure, policies and procedures for a $100 million company long before that milestone was in sight. We said that we need to be able to accommodate that — we might not get there, but we don’t want to have our success outgrow our capacity to run the company,” he explained.
In addition to the company’s tenth appearance on the Pacesetter’s list, the BBJ also named Beacon Hill Staffing Group as one of the region’s largest privately held companies, for the eighth year in a row.
The BBJ ranks companies according to annual revenue, naming only the top 100 to their prestigious list. As reported on by the BBJ, with 2014 revenue of nearly $276m, Beacon Hill earned the 32nd spot on this year’s list – up from number 33 in 2014, 37 in 2013, 41 in 2012, 50 in 2011, and 76 in 2010.
