The launch of the New Jersey office comes at a pivotal time for the life sciences industry. The industry is showing signs of strength in both public markets and private investment, despite the economic downturn caused by COVID-19, according to a recent article by RSM, the leading U.S. provider of audit, tax and consulting services focused on middle market. While some shifts are fairly obvious – the increase in production of personal protective equipment, the development of test kits, and the development of a vaccine – other shifts in the market are more opaque. For example, RSM reported social distancing measures and reallocation of resources towards a COVID-19 vaccine have led to a slowdown in clinical trials for non-COVID related therapies.

Leading Beacon Hill Life Sciences New Jersey is Division Director Paul Manzo. Mr. Manzo joined Beacon Hill in 2018 as the Business Development Manager for the company’s Life Sciences team in Boston. He has more than 20 years’ experience within the staffing industry, possessing recruiting, business development and leadership experience within the healthcare delivery and pharmaceutical sectors. Prior to joining Beacon Hill, Mr. Manzo was a consistent top-performing account executive and Director of Sales with a national pharmaceutical consulting firm.
