Beacon Hills Atlanta Office Named a Best Place to Work by Atlanta Business Chronicle

September 29th, 2020

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is excited to announce our Atlanta office has been named among the Best Places to Work in Atlanta by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. 2020 marks the first year the office has received the distinction, joining seven other Beacon Hill offices which have received top workplace recognition from regional publications; Beacon Hill Staffing Group has also been named one of the Best Staffing Firms to Work For by Staffing Industry Analysts. Beacon Hill's Atlanta office joins 47 other firms in the Small Employers category (10-49 employees) in being honored this year. Three specialty divisions operate out of Beacon Hill's Atlanta location: Beacon Hill Associates, Beacon Hill Legal, and Beacon Hill Technologies.

In a year that has been rocked by the COVID-19 pandemic, it is perhaps more important than ever to provide a workplace where not only employees feel safe and secure, but also where they feel valued. Of course, due to stay-at-home measures and social distancing, the term "workplace" has taken on a different meaning altogether, as well. To that end - the Directors for Beacon Hill's Atlanta offices have taken to redoubling their engagement efforts - from small gestures and check-ins, to things like sending a lunch gift card of bottle of wine to a team member to celebrate a wine (or commiserate with a struggle).

"It's all about creating a space where my team can feel like they can be their authentic selves," says Trish Kellogg, Division Director of Beacon Hill's Associates Division in Atlanta. "In these times, it is more critical than ever to feel a sense of togetherness and belonging at work."

Since opening its doors in 2008, Beacon Hill's Atlanta offices have served thousands of companies representing every imaginable cross-section of the city's economy - from law offices to software companies, healthcare firms to vehicle manufacturers, small businesses and multinational corporations, non-profits and for-profits alike. Despite the heavy hit COVID-19 exacted on the Atlanta economy, Beacon Hill, like the rest of the city, has rebounded considerably. Since the start of the pandemic in March and April, the Atlanta offices have seen job orders either grow or remain steady month-over-month, and, at their current pace, will end the year at the same volume as the offices were experiencing pre-COVID.

The same elements that were instrumental in Beacon Hill Atlanta's quick turnaround were also what makes it a Best Place to Work. Despite missing out on the social camaraderie of being in an office together, the team was able to reclaim some of the lost feeling of togetherness through frequent virtual check-ins, coordinating food donations to healthcare workers, and celebrating the wins where they found them. In managing to stay together despite being physically distanced, the team was able to not only maintain engagement, but also provide top-notch service to their clients in the midst of conserable uncertainty.

Beacon Hill Staffing Group’s niche brands provide direct hire, executive search, temporary staffing, contract consulting, temp/contract-to-hire, and MSP/VMS and RPO solutions to emerging growth companies and the Fortune 500 across multiple market sectors and all industries. In 2019, Beacon Hill Staffing Group closed the year with revenues approaching $600 million. Over time, office locations, specialty practice areas and service offerings will be added to address ever changing constituent needs.
