Beacon Hill's Chicago Office Named to Crain's Chicago Business "Best Places to Work" List

April 12th, 2018

Beacon Hill is excited to announce that Crain's Chicago Business recently named our Chicago office one of "Chicago's Best Places to Work" in 2018! Beacon Hill was ranked 15th overall on Crain's list, as well as fifth in the large company category. Among the top workplaces for women, our company ranked #2. Crain's announced these rankings at their annual luncheon at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Chicago on Thursday, April 12th.

"The culture that earned us recognition as a 'Best Place to Work' starts with our executive leadership and extends to every level," remarked Maricela Ostrand, Division Director of Beacon Hill's Pharma Divisionin Chicago. "We collaborate because we delight in each other's successes. We work hard, we play hard. I joined this company because of our leadership's vision and focus on people, and am proud to see Beacon Hill recognized for it."

The 2018 "Best Places to Work" List was administered through Crain's survey partner, Best Companies Group. In order to determine this list, companies received a two-part assessment regarding company policies, practices and demographics, as well as employee feedback. Employees rated their organization on eight Core Focus Areas: Leadership and Planning, Corporate Culture and Communications, Role Satisfaction, Work Environment, Relationship with Supervisor, Training, Development and Resources, Pay and Benefits, and Overall Engagement. Employee responses accounted for 75 percent of the total assessment score, with the remaining assessment covered by the employer questionnaire and Best Companies Group's in-depth analysis. In all, Best Companies Group and Crain's interviewed 8,800 employees at Chicago-area businesses to determine the top 100.
