Beacon Hill’s New York Office Named to “Best Companies to Work for in New York” List

Beacon Hill’s New York City office was recently named to Best Companies Group’s 11th annual “Best Companies to Work for in New York” list. The office was one of 70 recognized overall and one of 24 recognized in the large employer’s category (250+ employees). 

Beacon Hill New York will be honored at a public awards dinner that will be held at the Albany Marriott on Wednesday, April 18th. During the award ceremony, the companies will find out where they are ranked within their respective groups based on company size – Small, Medium and Large. 

Nominated companies needed to fulfill specific registration eligibility requirements. After determining that they were eligible, they participated in a survey that covered topics such as employee satisfaction and engagement as well as workplace practices and policies. 

“The unique aspect of the NYS Best Companies program is that winners are chosen not just based on policies, programs and the cool things the company does for employees, but results are mostly determined by employees who are critiquing their own workplace,” remarked Lorri Zelman, Division Director of Beacon Hill HR – New York. “Statistically speaking, an average company has a 40-45% engagement level whereas the winners of this program are at 90% on average! I’ve been the chair for almost a decade and I’ve never been prouder to represent such an amazing group of engaged, driven and highly successful colleagues! Look out NYC…BH is taking over!”

Best Companies to Work for in New York is a survey competition to determine which participants are the best employers. The process is managed by Best Companies Group and winners are published by New York State Society for Human Resource Management. Best Companies Group is an independent research firm specializing in identifying and recognizing great places to work.
