BH Technologies® Case Study

Multi-Site Windows 10 Migration for Non-Profit

Challenge

Our client, a non-profit health system consisting of hospitals, outpatient facilities, assisted living and long-term care facilities, and healthcare centers, released a competitive Request for Proposal to retain a single-source managed services provider to manage and deliver a new Windows platform impacting roughly 23,000 machines throughout 200 physical sites. Facing a tight deadline to complete the project due to an expiring support contract, our client did not have the facilities sufficient to physically accommodate such an upgrade, nor did they employ the professional resources required to effectively execute the project.

Solution

Beacon Hill Technologies Consulting and Solutions developed the entire project plan from inception to completion, which consisted of an agreed-upon budget, client-specific workflows and reporting, process creation and management, communication plans and protocols, facilities, logistics, and recycling services. Beacon Hill Technologies Consulting and Solutions’ resource pool consists of approximately 60 resources who were sourced, vetted and screened by Beacon Hill recruitment professionals and who were phased into the project through a predefined ramp-up schedule. In addition to providing technical resources with varied skill sets, we vetted and procured a third-party facilities provider for the space physically required to perform the migration, arranged for transportation services to accept and deliver 23,000 machines and secured the necessary hardware recycling services.

The Results

This on-going effort is scheduled for an on-time delivery and is within the projected budget.
