Unique Personal Assistant Sourcing

Challenge

Our client, a prominent family in the Washington, DC area, was seeking a capable, engaging, and skilled personal assistant to work in their home and manage their household, executives, and their children. This unique role included liaising with household staff and required scheduling and organizational skills, with an eye for detail. The candidate needed to also have the personality to accommodate family and work-life. They had to be available to work on holidays and travel with the family.

Solution

Beacon Hill Associates formed a relationship with the family and household, and we created a strategy to target the best candidate for success. Our candidate needed admin/executive support experience, with an interest in working with children and families. We leveraged our university relationships, referrals, and contacts in the non-profit sector.

The Results

We filled the position within sixty days, after many hours of strategic sourcing and interviewing. The opportunity to bond and interact with the family assisted in building trust and rapport, and our consultant has since received a promotion, a raise, and the client is now working closely with us to find a second personal assistant for the home.
